Recycle your Christmas Tree in Forsyth County

Forsyth County has recycled more than 78,000 Christmas trees since 1994
After ornaments are removed from the Christmas tree, Keep Forsyth County Beautiful (KFCB) is inviting residents to recycle their Christmas trees at numerous locations throughout Forsyth County during the “Bring One for the Chipper” Christmas tree recycling event from December 26 through January 26. A wood chipper at the locations processes the trees into mulch.
Forsyth County residents annually conclude the holiday season by recycling thousands of Christmas trees during the event. Last year alone, residents recycled 8,710 trees.
“We are very excited to see the number of trees recycled in Forsyth County increasing every year,” said Environmental Program Manager Tammy Wright. “It is a win-win scenario – the program provides a convenient way for residents to dispose of their tree, and recycling the trees is good for the environment.”
