Pucks for Patty – Fundraising Hockey Game
7pm: Pucks for Patty is a Police vs Fire Hockey Game to help raise money for Atlanta Police Detective (and Cumming Resident) Pat Apoian, founder of Humble Heroes. Detective Apoian was injured in the line of duty and suffered extensive injuries just last month. He is currently recuperating at home while undergoing extensive physical therapy. Come support one who has done so much to stand behind the men & women of public safety who are in need!

Sunday, August 28th
Raising Kids Who Read Author Event
1pm to 4pm: Humpus Bumpus Bookstore at 703 Atlanta Road in Cumming, Georgia will be filled with local authors – both children’s and adult’s – for book readings, book signings, and interactions with kids and adults alike. Well known local authors like 11-year-old Sarah Voskamp, children’s picture book authors Cheryl Campbell, Lisa Kelley, and Jackie Gaskins, juvenile/adolescent book writer J.R. Hardin, and couples therapist and relationship author Barbara J. Peters, will be among the local celebrities at the event. Atlanta area illustrator Lauren Keel will be a part of the event as well – sketching and demonstrating what it takes to illustrate a book. Click here for more information.
