The next Cumming Food Truck Friday is August 2 (5-8pm). At 7pm, Pilar Kirkpatrick, author of the popular children’s book, ‘Frankie the Dog’, will perform her telling of Frankie’s story to the kids. Pilar has read from her Big Frankie Book at schools and bookstores everywhere and is a big hit with kids. After the story, the kids can color a page from Frankie’s coloring book and have their art displayed at the gallery in the Sawnee Association of the Arts (SAA) Art Center through Aug 10 when there will be a special reception for the kids with prizes and award ribbons. The SAA Art Center is located right across from Food Truck Friday at 111 Pilgrim Mill Road in the Historic Brannon-Heard House. Artists from SAA will also be hosting an Art Market Tent on the premises as part of the event. Be part of the fun and come join in.
