On November 2nd South Forsyth High School DECA will host their annual character pancake breakfast in order to raise money for JDRF. The event will be from 9:00am to 12:00pm at Piney Grove Middle School. JDRF is an organization that aims to create a world without Type 1 Diabetes by raising money to fund research and eventually find a cure. The organization has already created better therapies that have increased the life span of patients, and with our help we can help to fund this research.
Magical Morning is a character breakfast that allows for children to dress up, participate in magical makeovers, make crafts, play games and share breakfast all with their favorite fairytale characters.
JDRF prioritizes three main goals: Remove the misconception that Type 1 diabetes is a childhood disease, acknowledge that nearly 85% of people living with the disease are over 18, and improve the lives of those diagnosed. With the help of the South Forsyth community, JDRF will continue to develop life-changing solutions for families facing the daily struggles of the illness.
The South Forsyth DECA chapter would like to invite boys and girls to enjoy the magical fun and spend their morning with princesses, superheroes and special guests from the Star Wars universe. Tickets are ten dollars at the door. Parents and children under two are free with a paid sibling.
DECA would like to thank Da Vinci’s Donuts, Card My Yard, Young Chefs Academy, Pixie Travel, and the Little Gym of Alpharetta for their generous support of this event.
