In partnership with Totally Running & Walking, Halcyon is hosting the inaugural Hammer & Heels Women’s 5K to benefit Habitat for Humanity of North Georgia’s Women Build program, which brings women together from across the region to form an all-female volunteer construction crew, raise funds and build a house from the ground up for a local family in need. While the race begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, the fun starts the night before with a race packet pickup party from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Village Green. After the 5K, walker and runners will be treated to post-race pampering, including a celebratory mimosa courtesy of Ocean & Acre plus massages, shopping discounts and brunch specials provided by Halcyon restaurants and retailers.
