Motofest at Georgia Dome – Atlanta GA {2017}
Motofest took place at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta GA from February 24-27, 2017. It was the first time ever that Supercross and Arenacross were competing in the same city on the same weekend and in the same arena. These facts make Motofest of the most historic event in the 40-plus year history of stadium motorcycle racing!
To get an idea of what this event is like, take a look at this video from the Supercross Live website:
We attended the Supercross show at the Georgia Dome. Our seats were excellent and up close to the action! This is one of those shows that keeps you on the edge of your seat always wanting more. My niece (almost 3 years old) couldn’t take her eyes off all the action. And I can’t blame her as I was the same way. And yes you will notice she has ear protection on. It gets pretty loud in there so the ear protection is definitely needed!
I would also like to add that two weeks ago, I was able to interview Clay Elliott of Drive MX Racing. He led a team competing at this year at Motofest. You can read that interview by clicking here. It was great to see his Driven MX team racing!
Overall, the whole experience was a great one! History was made and we were glad to be part of it. Many of the drivers have been competing in the Georgia Dome for over 10 years. So as you can tell – the energy in the building was amazing and it was definitely a great event for all the fans!

Motofest was Arenacross and Supercross’s way of biding farewell to the 25 seasons held in the Gerogia Dome. And it was a GREAT farewell! Thank you Motofest for being so good to Atlanta! See you next time at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Have you been to Arenacross or Supercross? If so, what’s your favorite part about it?
Disclosure: We were provide tickets to Supercross Live. However, my opinions are 100% my own.
